The Dong Da Festival: This is the biggest national festival of memorialising the leaders of the Tay Son movement, especially the hero Quang Trung and the victory Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da (1789), defeating 290,000 of the Thanh invaders. The Festival is held formally and monumentally on the fifth of January in every lunar year. Beside traditional ceremonies, there are many folk cultural activities such as: performances of Tay Son Kungfu, Tay Son drumming battles, boating races, folk games, Tuong singing…attracting thousands of participants from all regions of the country.
Nhong Pass
Festival:
Held on the fifth
of January in every lunar year at Nhong Pass in the National Highway 1 in
My Phong and My Trinh communes, Phu My district in order to memorialise
the well – known victory Nhong Pass – Duong Lieu (1965) of the army of the
section V’s soldiers and the Binh Dinh local soldiers. This contributes to
the victory of the entire South against the enemy’s special war strategy,
marking a glorious historical page of the national fight against the
American soldiers in Vietnam history. The Go Market Festival: Held on the first of January in every lunar year in Phong Thanh, Tuy Phuoc town, Tuy Phuoc district. Beside the gathering of non-business, seeking-wealth- and-luck marketing activities, there are many folk games such as: singing Choi, performing unicorn dancing and others. Tourists participating in the Go Market Festival will have chances to buy many receiving-spring’s bud presents . The Cau Ngu Festival: Is a popular form of cultural and religious activities of villagers living near beaches and Binh Dinh islands. It is held often in every spring and autumn. During the festivals, there are trots, teams of drums and gongs, music groups, boating teams, singing team of Tuong and ceremonial performances, attracting thousands of participants.
