3. Project objectives:

- Attracting investment in the development of information technology at the annual average growth rate 25 - 30% and to strengthen the establishment of information facilities so as to set up computer software producing establishments after 2005.

- Developing human resourses in connection with information technology, expanding and enhancing the quality of information training among the government employees and high school students .

- Promoting effective application of information technology in management and operation of socio-economic development plan of the province.

4. Project scale:

- Constructing relevant infrastructure facilities (high-rise office buildings and modern equipment) in Quy Nhon City.

- Setting up an electronic information system and local database in linkage with the centers for domestic and international information.

- Developing human resources for information technology with a special emphasis on computer software technology.

5. Expected budget: USD10 million
