3. Project objectives:

Quy Nhon is a harbour which is heavily packed with the fishing vessels of the city fishermen and from neighbouring areas. The fishing fleet has more than 5,000 motorized vessels and involves 35,000 fishing workers. The annual catch-landing is estimated at 20,000 MT. Therefore, it is essential to establish a center for fishery logistics and support services in Quy Nhon.

Quy Nhon Fishery Logistics and Support Service Center is established as the provincial and regional center for fishery logistics and support services which is technically competent in carrying out the work in connection with the monitoring of environmental and sanitary condition, improvement of the catches and their quality to meet the demand for domestic consumption and export.

4. Project scale:

- To extend the existing jetty by 20m in combination with the old one to form it into a T-shape jetty 50m in length.

- To construct three berths for fishing vessels under 250HPs.

- To level out and construct logistical facilities in connection with the purchase and processing of landed catches, supply of freshwater and fuel for fishing vessels.

- To procure the warning and communication equipment.
