CONTROLLING THE EROSION OF KON RIVER BANKS

1.  Project title: Controlling the Erosion of Kon River Banks                      

2. Project location: Tay Son, Tuy Phuoc and An Nhon Districts, Binh Dinh Province.

3. Project objectives:

Preventing the progress of erosion in order to directly protect 53,600 people at Tay Giang and Tay Phu communes of Tay Son district, Nhon My, Nhon Phuc and Nhon Hau communes of An Nhon district and in Phuoc Hung commune of Tuy Phuoc district. The control of erosion is to be undertaken by reducing the strong pressure of the flow against the banks, which causes erosion and makes muddy sand to run over into paddy fields, eventually preventing bad damage to crops and harm to human communities.

Sustaining the river mouth, flow rate and banks.

Thang Cong Hamlet, Nhon Phuc Commune, An Nhon District, 1985m;

Thiet Tru Hamlet, Nhon Hau Commune, An Nhon District, 3310m;

Tay Binh Hamlet, Tay Binh Commune, Tay Son District, 1800 m;

Thuong Thanh Hamlet, Tay Giang Commune, Tay Son District, 2100m;

Go Cham Hamlet of Phuoc Hung, Tuy Phuoc District, 4150 m long.
