UPGRADING AND EXPANDING GENERAL HOSPITALS

IN BINH DINH PROVINCE

1. Project title: Upgrading and Expanding General Hospitals in Binh Dinh Province.

2. Project location: Binh Dinh Province

3. Projects objectives:  

When upgraded, these hospitals can expand their functions and services, improving the quality of disease treatment and prevention at the grassroots places, which will help reduce the number of district-level patients brought to the provincial hospitals, controlling the over-hospitalization at the provincial general hospital, timely meeting the demand for healthcare of the people in the project areas.

4. Project scale:  

- Upgrading Phu My general hospital (Phu My District) with 150 beds.

- Providing equipment for other hospitals: Provincial General Hospital, Bong Son, Quy Nhon, An Nhon, Tuy Phuoc, Vinh Thanh, Phu Cat.

5. Expected budget: USD16 million

7. Implementation period: 2005 - 2010
