3. Project objectives:

a) Long-term objectives:

Increasing investment in the construction of provincial educational facilities as per the orientation until 2010 to ensure enough schools and classrooms in order to maintain the situation of compulsory primary and secondary education, targeting compulsory senior secondary education.

Upgrading centers for general technology and vocational training to attract students into training courses on applied technologies and ordinary skills; providing job-training for young people; and gradually building multi-storied schools and modernizing teaching aids as per the criteria of the national standard school.

b) Short-term objectives:

Timely dealing with difficulties and urgent needs for educational facilities to overcome the lack of classrooms and degradation or unsatisfication of classrooms; and upgrading the schools in the economically difficult areas.
