1. Project name: Cashewnut Processing Plant

2. Project objective: To upgrade the existing cashewnut processing units and to set up the new one in accordance with the availability of the raw materials in the province and the region.

Long My Industrial Zone (Quy Nhon City);

Phu My, Phu Cat, Tay Son Districts.

Export and domestic consumption.

5. Form of investment:

100% foreign owned capital or joint-venture

6. Inputs (raw materials and Intermediate products):

Currently, in Binh Dinh cashew trees grow very well in a total area of some 15,000 ha, over 90% of which are concentrated in the Districts of Phu Cat, Phu My, Hoai Nhon, Van Canh and Vinh Thanh.

Developing bud-grafted cashew varieties in the existing area, expanding the plantation area up to 25,000-30,000 ha and intensively cultivating to raise the average crop yield up to 1 ton/ha, the nut quality being specified by uniform size and export standard.

7. Energy and Utilities:

The proposed sites are conveniently accessible to power and water supply, communication, transport and labour supply.
