The contingent of technology and scientific staff is 15,800 (including: 34 people with PHD degree, 138 master degree).

Material facilities for technical science: Provincial Centre for Information Technology Assistance and Development, Centre for Analyse and Test,  Centre for Agriculture Research of the Coastal Southern Central VietNam, Centre for Breeding Research and Development of Central Viet Nam, Quy Nhon University and Quy Nhon Technical School and many other training programs are producing and supplementing scientific staff.

Scientific and technological programs now in progress: paddy rice varieties, industrial and fruit trees, forestry developing, poultry breeding, household pig raising, cross-bred cow raising, aquaculture, off-shore fishing program and clean water and sanitation for rural communities.

Annual cost for scientific and technological research is 2% of the provincial budget.
