Industry

The existing industries of the province include agricultural, forestry and fishery product processing, consumer goods, construction materials, mineral exploiting and processing, export garment and footwear, etc. These industries have been consolidated and combined to facilitate export increase.

There are many high quality products such as wooden furniture, granite tile, titanium, seafood, salangane's nests, sugar, beer, fine-art rattan products, garment, footwear, pharmaceutical products, etc.

Small-Scale Industrial Zones

33 small-scale industrial zones in Quy Nhon City and all districts of the province have been established. The main fields of activities are producing and processing of food and foodstuff, wooden furniture, small-scale mechanical products, construction materials and consumer goods.

 

Industrial Zones:

Phu Tai Industrial Zone, planned area 350 ha:

Located at the place where National Roads 1A and 19 meet within Tran Quang Dieu and Bui Thi Xuan Wards, Quy Nhon City, 12 km west of Quy Nhon, only 2 km from Dieu Tri Railway Station, and 20 km from Phu Cat Airport.

Up to now, there have been 108 projects registered in Phu Tai Industrial Zone with a wide range of industries such as: processing export forestry products, producing paper and cartoon package, granite products, construction materials, seafoods, foodstuff and beverage, etc. Among these projects, 69 enterprises are in operation, employing nearly 14,000 workers and making up about one third of industrial share and of export turnover annually.

Long My Industrial Zone, planned area 200 ha:

Located at Bui Thi Xuan Ward, Quy Nhon City and Phuoc My Commune, Tuy Phuoc District, 18 km from Quy Nhon City in the southwest, next to Phu Tai Industrial Zone in the west, Long My Industrial Zone is established to attract manufacturers of construction materials, agro-forestry products, fertilizer, plastics, mechanical equipment for agriculture and forestry.

Up to now there have been 21 projects registered in Long My Industrial Zone, of which 3 projects are in operation.

Nhon Hoi Industrial Zone in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (about 1,395 ha, including wind power area and shipyard area).

Nhon Hoa Industrial Zone (in An Nhon District, along National road 19, 180 ha), Nhon Tan - Binh Nghi Industrial Zone (in An Nhon and Tay Son Districts, 150 ha) are being established.
