Strengthening the Steering Committee of co-operation with provinces of Southern Laos

On 21 March 2007, Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee issued the decision No 640/QĐ-CTUBND on strengthening the Steering Committee of co-operation with provinces of Southern Laos. Accordingly, Mr Nguyen Van Thien-Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee undertakes the post as head of the Committee; Directors of the Departments of Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural development as vice-chieves of the Committee; Leaders of Departments of Trade, Education and Training, Transportation, Industry, Health, the Office of Provincial People’s Committee, Bidiphar Company and Pisico Company as members of the Committee.
The Committee performs tasks of directing and co-ordinating the activities of the provincial relevant agencies in realizing the investment and co-operation programmes which were signed between Binh Dinh and the provinces of Southern Laos; monitoring, supervising, examing, evaluating the implementation of the scheme and directing the solution to difficulties, potential problems.
In the afternoon of the same date, a meeting was presided over by Mr Nguyen Van Thien on dicussing the implementing plans of co-operative programmes in the coming time.
