A further delay for Agreement on technical assistance project prepared for “Quy Nhon City environmental sanitation project”

The deadline to implement the Agreement on the Technical Assistance project prepared for “Quy Nhon City Environmental Sanitation sub project” within the framework of “the Coastal Cities Environmental Sanitation project” financed by World Bank (WB) has been agreed to extend to Dec 21st, 2008 by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai.
The State Bank of Vietnam is carrying out necessary procedures with WB on the extension according to current regulations.
According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Prime Minister has approved the Technical Assistance project prepared for “Quy Nhon City Environmental Sanitation project” with the total investment capital of USD350,000.
The purpose is to assist Binh Dinh Province in preparing the feasibility study report, detailed design for constructing a wastewater treament plant (a component of Quy Nhon City Environmental Sanitation project) using chemically enhanced primary treament (CEPT).
