Binh Dinh: Export Turnover of first quarter of 2008 estimated to reach over USD 104.5Mil

The total export turnover of March 2008 of the enterprises located in Binh Dinh Province is estimated to reach USD35.5 million, down by 0.1% against 2007.
As a result, the total export turnover of the first quarter of 2008 is estimated to reach USD104.5 million, achieving 29% of the year plan, increasing 11% compared to the same period last year. Accordingly, agricultural products make up USD13.4million (down by 21.8 % against 2007); forestry products: USD79million (up by 18.8%); sea products: USD4.6 million (up by 28%); minerals and building materials: USD4.4 million (up by 6.7%); consumption commodities: USD3.1 million (down by 1.3%).
The major export articles include refined wood for outdoor use, sliced cassava, titanium, sandalwood chip.
The total import turnover of the first quarter of 2008 over the province is estimated to reach USD38.5 million, achieving 25.6% of the year plan, a 78.2 % increase compared to the same period last year.
