Central Vietnam – new opportunity for investment and development

In order to strenthen investment into Central Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment in association with Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspapers co - organised a seminar with the theme of “Central Vietnam - new opportunity for investment and development” on 27th March, 2008 in Danang City. Those in attendance at the seminar included over 400 leadership representatives of relevant ministries, government’s agencies and Central province leaders, economic organizations, research bodies as well as domestic and foreign investors. The delegation of Binh Dinh province attended the conference, led by Vice chairman Nguyen Van Thien who presented a speech on investment opportunities into Binh Dinh Province, especially advantages as well as investment incentives of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.
The scene of meeting
The seminar is a forum for Vietnamese policy-makers, leadership representatives of relevant ministries, government’s agencies and Central province leaders, domestic and foreign prestigious speakers, investors to exchange information directly on potentials, advantages, investment mechanism, policy, climate and opportunities in the region such as: (i) developing infrastructure (land-road, seaport, airport), (ii) investing to high-quality services, especially tourism, human resource (education-training) and health care services, (iii) investing to economic zones in the region.
According
to the deputy minister of Planning and Investment, Nguyen Bich Dat, the
Central region should seize every opportunity for development. In the
short term, it is necessary to diversify sources of investment capital
for developing infrastructure, focusing to accelerate the scale and
increase the quality of human resource, giving top priority for tourism
development. At the same time, it is needed to develop high - quality
services such as finance, banking, insurance, health, education and etc.
