The high-ranking delegation of Champasak Province (Lao People’s Demoratic Republic) paid a working visit to Binh Dinh

In the morning of April 7, 2008, at the office of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee, Mr Pham Van Thanh - Permannent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Mr Le Huu Loc - Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee received and had a meeting with the high-ranking delegation of Champasak Province (Laos) led by Mr Savang Sihavong - Deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee, head of the delegation, head of the organization board on learning from Binh Dinh’s experience in organizing, directing and establishing the hunger elimination, poverty reduction program.

Accordingly, by the end of 2007, the poor household rate of the province was 12.63%, down 2.82% against 2006; reducing the rate of urban unemployment to 4.91%; raising the rate of rural working time utilization to 78.5% and the rate of well - trained and skilled people to 29.5%. At the same time, Binh Dinh Province showed the lessons of experience from the implementation of hunger elimination, poverty reduction program.
