Binh Dinh delegation sent to work in Southern provinces of Laos

The Provincial People's Committee has just had the Decision on sending the delegation of provincial officials to work in the Southern provinces of Laos (Champasak, Attapu, Sekong, Salavan) to prepare contents for evaluating the achieved results of five - year implementation of co-operation program between Binh Dinh Province and the Southern provinces of Laos for period 2006 - 2010 and co-operation plan for the next period.

Binh Dinh attracts 22 projects worth USD7.35b

At the Binh Dinh investment promotion conference, foreign and domestic companies pledged to invest 22 projects with total registered capital of over USD7.35 billion in Binh Dinh province. Among them, 13 investors received the investment certificates and nine were signed in investment commitments.

Quy Nhon City becomes first-grade city

Quy Nhon City has been recognized as the first-grade city of Binh Dinh Province under the Decision by the Prime Minister.
Quy Nhon city lies in the Southeast of Binh Dinh province with a total area of 284.28 km2. It has a lot of different areas, its geography landscape is very diversified such as moutains and forests, hills, mounds, fields, salt-marshes, plains, lagoons, lakes, rivers, coasts, peninsulas, and islands....Qui Nhon's coast- line is 42 km with a big lagoon area, brackish water lake, abudant sea creature resource and many of valuable specilities with high economic worth. The town's key brands include industries, trade, export-imports, seaport services, breeding and exploiting aquatic products, tourism.

In the morning of September 7, 2009, Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh- Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee had a working session with Mr David Albrecht- consultant of urban infrastructure of CARO consulting company (France) on the occasion of its visit to Quy Nhon to seek plans for future development in the fields of water supply and drainage, environment sanitation, urban infrastructure, transportation and social housing; ODA funded projects; projects calling for investment and concerns of the province and the city with the plans.

Japan makes record ODA commitment

Japanese official development assistance to Viet Nam will total nearly JPY26 billion (USD290 million) in the second half of the 2009 fiscal year. The new package was announced and signed on 2 March 2010 in Ha Noi by Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam Mitsuo Sakaba and Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc.

ADB helps 350,000 people in central region access to clean water and sanitation

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Vietnam today (February 2) signed a loan agreement of 45 million USD for the Central Region Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project. The project will support the country's efforts to achieve the national development targets and Millennium/Vietnam Development Goals relating to peoples’ access to clean water supply and sanitation.

Promulgating regulations of simplifying investment- related procedures

That's the conclusion of the Chairman Nguyen Van Thien at the meeting with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which supports Binh Dinh Province to construct Regulations on order and co-ordination mechanisms of resolving administrative procedures for the establishment of the enterprises outside the industrial zones, economic zones over the Binh Dinh province. After 6 months of implementing the actual survey, drafting and collecting opinions of relevant agencies, IFC and consulting units have basically completed the Regulations to report in the presence of PPC.
